From Trial to Triumph: Toy’s Journey to RRQ Hoshi’s Main Stage

RRQ Hoshi proudly welcomes Muhammad “Toy” Rizky as the team’s new Gold Laner for Mobile Legends Professional League Indonesia (MPL ID) Season 15. Previously competing in the Mobile Legends Development League (MDL), Toy steps up to replace none other than RRQ’s iconic figure, Skylar. It’s a role filled with expectations, but Toy approaches it with confidence and a hunger to prove himself on the biggest stage.

For Toy, preparing for his first MPL season is about more than just grinding gameplay. “What am I preparing? First of all, it’s my mentality,” he shared. Understanding the pressure that comes with competing in the premier league, Toy has made mental strength and team chemistry his priorities. While the training intensity may be similar between MDL and MPL, Toy notes that the scrims in MPL are on another level—more demanding, more competitive, and filled with elite opponents.

A Road Paved with Persistence: From MDL to MPL

Toy’s journey wasn’t an instant leap to the top. Before making it to MPL, he first joined RRQ Sena in the MDL. His initial shot at MPL came through a trial opportunity, invited by Lemon himself. “At first, I was invited to do a trial for MPL,” Toy recalled. Unfortunately, he didn’t make the cut then—but instead of giving up, he found his footing in the MDL. There, he honed his skills, matured as a player, and consistently proved his worth until he earned the trust to rise to RRQ Hoshi’s main roster.

The shoes Toy is stepping into are undeniably big. Skylar has been a cornerstone of RRQ Hoshi for several seasons. When asked whether he feels the weight of replacing such a legacy, Toy calmly responded, “Pressure? Not really.” Still, he remains humble. For Toy, the true measure of success isn’t just joining the MPL—it’s about delivering results. “I can’t say I’m proud of myself until I’ve helped RRQ Hoshi win the MPL,” he admitted.

Toy’s climb from the amateur scene to the professional ranks is a story of resilience that resonates with many aspiring Mobile Legends players. His advice? “First, you’ve got to be good. Second, you need to start connecting with pro players.” Toy believes that consistent performance and building relationships within the community can open doors to major opportunities in the esports scene.

His personal achievement—reaching Global Rank 2 on the Mobile Legends leaderboard—is a testament to the relentless dedication and hard work that fuels his dreams.

A Role Forged in Determination: Gold Laner for RRQ Hoshi

Toy’s Mobile Legends journey began in middle school, with Karina as his very first hero. Initially a Jungler, he eventually transitioned to the Gold Lane role, which he began to focus on during his time with RRQ Sena. That role now defines his place in RRQ Hoshi, where his precision and discipline will be put to the test against Indonesia’s finest.

With passion in his heart and a clear goal in mind, Toy is ready to leave his mark on MPL ID. RRQ fans now watch with excitement, eager to see if this rising talent can help lead the team back to the pinnacle of Mobile Legends in Indonesia.
