RRQ Stand Tall but Settle for Runner-Up at VCT Pacific Stage 2

The Grand Final of VCT Pacific Stage 2 was a true spectacle, featuring a clash between RRQ and Paper Rex (PRX). For RRQ, this was more than just a match—it was an opportunity to reaffirm their position as one of the most consistent and dangerous teams of 2025. After an incredible lower bracket run filled with grit and determination, RRQ concluded the stage as runners-up, securing their ticket to Champions Paris alongside PRX, DRX, and T1.

A Grueling Road to the Grand Final

RRQ had already proven themselves earlier this year by lifting the Stage 1 trophy, overcoming PRX in the lower finals. Their Stage 2 campaign was no less inspiring, as they fought through the lower bracket with unwavering resilience. For fans, RRQ has become more than just a team—they represent perseverance, belief, and the spirit of never backing down.

Games 1 & 2: PRX Strike First

PRX started strong on Bind, establishing control early and closing the map 13-8 despite RRQ’s attempts to mount a comeback in the second half. The second map, Ascent, chosen as RRQ’s comfort pick, turned into a surprise setback. PRX, who had not played the map at all this stage, executed flawlessly. Although RRQ rallied with six straight rounds, PRX sealed another victory, 13-7.

Game 3: RRQ’s Spark on Lotus

With their backs against the wall, RRQ proved why they should never be underestimated. On Lotus, they held PRX to a 6-6 halftime before unleashing a flawless defensive stand. The team strung together seven consecutive rounds to secure a convincing 13-6 win. Standout performances from Monyet, xffero, and crazyguy lit up the stage, delivering clutch plays and momentum-shifting frags that reminded everyone of RRQ’s championship pedigree.

Game 4: Haven Decides It All

The deciding map, Haven, saw PRX once again apply relentless pressure. Despite RRQ’s attempts to fight back in the second half, PRX’s control of key rounds—including both pistols and the bonus—proved decisive. The map ended 13-7, sealing the series 3-1 for PRX.

RRQ Remain a Threat on the Global Stage

Though they fell short of a back-to-back championship, RRQ leave Stage 2 with their heads held high. Their incredible lower bracket resilience, their statement win on Lotus, and their cohesive team performance underscore one truth: RRQ is still one of the most dangerous teams heading into Champions Paris.

With PRX securing the Pacific’s first seed and RRQ taking the second, both teams will represent the region alongside DRX and T1 on Valorant’s biggest stage. For RRQ, the journey continues—and their story in 2025 is far from over.
