Sheiren Margaretha: From Writing Short Stories to Joining RRQ

Who would’ve thought that a childhood hobby of writing poems and short stories would spark Sheiren Margaretha’s journey into the world of entertainment—eventually leading her to become one of RRQ’s talents? Her story is a long and inspiring one. Let’s dive in.

Writing as the Gateway to Entertainment

Sheiren’s journey began during her school years, where she developed a strong passion for writing. From short stories to poetry, her talent was recognized early on by a teacher who encouraged her to join a writing program hosted by Media Indonesia. That decision opened many doors: Sheiren participated in a writing competition, won, and was selected to become a “Junior Reporter” at Metro TV. This marked her first introduction to the entertainment industry—an experience that sparked a newfound passion.

Despite the opportunity, Sheiren decided to put entertainment on hold to focus on academics and pursue a scholarship. But during college and the onset of the pandemic, she found herself stuck in an unproductive routine. She asked her parents for a second-hand phone so she could start creating content—and that marked the beginning of her personal branding journey.

Five Years of Consistency Caught RRQ’s Attention

For five years, Sheiren consistently produced content, focusing on beauty and fashion—two areas she genuinely enjoys. Her dedication eventually paid off when RRQ reached out to her. Coincidentally, Sheiren had been looking for a breakthrough to elevate her career. The timing was perfect, and her vision aligned closely with RRQ’s. Without hesitation, she accepted the offer to join as a talent.

She was already familiar with RRQ through her younger sibling, boyfriend, and friends—many of whom are avid gamers. But for Sheiren, joining RRQ wasn’t just about gaming; it was a chance to grow and evolve with one of the biggest teams in the industry.

The Highs and Lows of Beauty & Fashion Content Creation

Creating beauty and fashion content has always felt natural for Sheiren. She began with makeup, then gradually expanded into fashion to keep things fresh. But the process hasn’t been without its challenges. Like many creators, she occasionally hits creative blocks or struggles with inconsistent social media growth—especially during periods of inactivity. These, she says, are among the toughest parts of the job.

Speaker Role at DBL Banten

In addition to content creation, Sheiren was invited to speak at DBL Banten—a basketball-focused event where she shared insights on personal branding and self-love with high school students. Interestingly, she had no prior connection to the event organizers. They discovered her through social media—proof that a strong, positive personal brand can open doors to unexpected opportunities.

Content Creator or Public Speaker?

For Sheiren, both roles offer something valuable. Content creation gives her creative freedom and full control, while speaking engagements help her grow, meet new people, and build meaningful connections. If she had to choose? She would still lean toward content creation—but she’s committed to doing both.

Looking Ahead

Sheiren plans to continue her path as a content creator and influencer—fields she feels align closely with her passion, especially when it comes to inspiring young women. At the same time, she’s eager to explore new areas such as live streaming and potentially gaming. She’s even considering launching her own business as a future investment—knowing how fast the digital landscape evolves.

“We don’t know what influencers will look like five years from now. AI might even replace us,” she says.

Sheiren Margaretha’s journey is a testament to how passion, consistency, and strong personal branding can open doors to extraordinary opportunities. And who knows—maybe you’ll be the next Sheiren Margaretha.
