Esports World Cup 2025 Announces Record-Breaking $70 Million Prize Pool

The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has officially announced a monumental prize pool for the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC)—over $70 million. This record-breaking figure not only sets a new global benchmark in esports but also reinforces EWC 2025’s status as the most prestigious esports competition in the world.

Scheduled to return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 7 to August 24, 2025, the tournament will once again gather the world’s top players and teams across multiple titles. The increased prize pool, up $10 million from the previous year, reflects EWCF’s commitment to building a sustainable esports ecosystem and fostering long-term career opportunities for players, teams, and organizations.

More Than Just the Money

According to EWCF CEO Ralf Reichert, the massive prize pool is about more than making headlines.

“We want all stakeholders—players, clubs, publishers, and tournament organizers—to have the stability to invest long-term,” he said. The goal is to create a healthy, thriving ecosystem that goes beyond short-term success.

25 Tournaments, 24 Games, 2,000+ Professional Players

EWC 2025 is set to become the largest multi-title esports event in history, featuring 25 tournaments across 24 games.
