RRQ x realme Future Stars 2026 Connects Students with Esports Careers

For university students who aspire to work in esports, finding a place to begin can be a challenge. Competitive talent needs opportunities to be seen and developed, while an interest in the business of gaming needs practical experience. Through RRQ x realme Future Stars 2026, RRQ is bringing those first steps closer to campus.

Supported by realme as the main sponsor, the program connects students with competitive experiences, coaching, and opportunities to explore the business behind esports. Its first two campus stops, Universitas Mercu Buana and Budi Luhur University, offered pathways ranging from trials at RRQ Academy to internship opportunities within RRQ’s management office.

The initiative reflects a shared ambition: to help young people understand where their abilities could take them, and give them an opportunity to start.

Where Competition Meets Career Development

At Universitas Mercu Buana, Future Stars brought together two complementary tracks: a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) competition and the Career Ecosystem program.

The MLBB competition ran from October 8 to 15, 2026, with an IDR 3 million prize pool. Along the way, participants had the opportunity to develop their skills through a coaching bootcamp with Coach Fiel on October 13, ahead of the semifinals on October 14 and the grand final on October 15.

For promising players, the opportunity extended beyond the tournament, with a chance to participate in trials at RRQ Academy. Coaching and competition gave students a setting in which to test their teamwork, learn, and demonstrate their potential.

The Career Ecosystem track offered a different route into the industry. Under the theme Strategic Partnership & Business Collaboration, students developed ideas through a process that included initial submissions, selection, a preparatory seminar, and presentations on October 15.

With an IDR 3.5 million prize pool and an internship opportunity at RRQ’s management office for the strongest participants, the track introduced students to the thinking and preparation behind business partnerships in esports. It also gave them an opportunity to turn an initial concept into a proposal they could present and defend.

Bringing New Opportunities to Budi Luhur

The program continued at Budi Luhur University, its second campus destination, where students had the opportunity to meet Michelle, Charen, and Coach Fiel.

The campus MLBB tournament featured an IDR 3 million prize pool, with the Tournament MVP receiving an official trial opportunity at RRQ Academy, an official jersey, and a realme accessories package. The trial provides an entry point into further evaluation as part of the selection process.

Budi Luhur students could also participate in Career Ecosystem, which offered IDR 3.5 million in prizes and an internship opportunity within RRQ’s management office for the top participant in the management category. All activities were free for active students at the university.

Julian Bongsoikrama, B.A., M.Sc., Chairman of the Budi Luhur University Foundation, attended the event and expressed his support for connecting students’ interests with opportunities in the industry.

“The digital industry has become Gen Z’s playground. Our role at the foundation is to help bridge their passion with opportunity. Through this collaboration with RRQ, we are providing tangible support so that Budi Luhur University students can shine and prove their potential to become professional players,” Julian said.

A Shared Commitment to Young Talent

For RRQ, Future Stars is an opportunity to help students gain a clearer understanding of what pursuing an esports career involves. Whether they enter through competition or business, participants can begin to identify their strengths and the skills they need to develop.

“Many university students have the drive and ability to go further when they are given the right opportunity. Through RRQ x realme Future Stars 2026, we want to bring those opportunities closer to campus, both for aspiring professional players and for students interested in building careers behind the scenes. Together with realme and the participating universities, we hope this program can help students recognize their potential and understand the steps they need to take to grow in esports,” said Amalia Hadi, Head of RRQ Network.

As the program’s main sponsor, realme shares that commitment to helping young people explore their ambitions.

“Through our collaboration with RRQ on the Future Stars program, realme wants to connect more closely with Indonesia’s younger generation, particularly university students, and inspire them to explore their potential and pursue their ambitions. We believe every young person has the opportunity to become a star in their own field, whether in esports or technology. Through these activities, realme hopes to create meaningful, real-world experiences with young people and encourage them to keep growing,” said Krisva Angnieszca, Public Relations Lead at realme Indonesia.

The Journey Continues

Following Mercu Buana and Budi Luhur, RRQ x realme Future Stars 2026 will visit Universitas Gunadarma on November 7, 2026, and UPN Veteran Jakarta on November 19, 2026. Further details about activities and participation will be shared through RRQ’s official channels.

Each campus visit creates another opportunity for students to put their abilities into practice. By connecting education with firsthand industry experience, RRQ and realme aim to help more young people take an informed, confident first step toward a future in esports.
