From 12 Cities to a National Movement: The Journey of RKK Season 7

If we rewind to the very beginning, RRQ Keliling Kota (RKK) started with just 12 cities in Season 1.

Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya—familiar, expected, almost “mainstream.”
But even then, there was already a signal: this was never meant to be an ordinary event.

Today, we have journeyed across dozens of cities, met tens of thousands of fans, and arrived at Season 7.

The Long Journey of RKK (Season 1–6)

Looking back, this was never just expansion—it was evolution.

Some cities became recurring destinations, a clear reflection of how strong and passionate their communities are:

  • Yogyakarta — S1, S2, S3, S5
  • Bandung — S1, S2, S4, S5
  • Semarang — S1, S2, S4, S5
  • Surabaya — S1, S2, S4, S5
  • Medan — S1, S4, S5, S6
  • Palembang — S1, S3, S5

Others consistently appeared across different phases of growth:

  • Malang — S2, S3, S6
  • Pontianak — S1, S2, S6
  • Tasikmalaya — S2, S3, S6
  • Samarinda — S3, S6
  • Cirebon — S3, S4

And of course, many more cities helped shape this journey:
Makassar (S3, S6), Padang (S3, S4, S5), Lampung (S2, S4), Banjarmasin (S2, S3, S5), along with Banyuwangi, Balikpapan, Kupang, Banda Aceh, and many others.

From west to east, from major urban centers to cities rarely touched by esports events—RKK has been there.

Season 7: Still Expanding, But Going Deeper

In Season 7, RKK visits 16 cities:

Yogyakarta, Blitar, Ternate, Cirebon, Banjar, Tarakan, Kendari, Bengkulu, Palembang, Lampung, Sidoarjo, Malang, Purwokerto, Tegal, Makassar, and Bogor.

At a glance, it may seem like a continuation.
But look closer, and a different story begins to unfold.

Returning Cities, Stronger Communities

Several cities return once again in Season 7:

  • Yogyakarta — now S1, S2, S3, S5, S7
  • Malang — S2, S3, S6, S7
  • Makassar — S3, S6, S7
  • Palembang — S1, S3, S5, S7
  • Cirebon — S3, S4, S7
  • Lampung — S2, S4, S7
  • Purwokerto — S2, S3, S7
  • Tegal — S3, S7
  • Bogor — S2, S7

This is not coincidence.
It means one thing: these communities are alive, growing, and continuously showing up.

New Cities in Season 7 (First-Time Visits)

This is where the story becomes even more meaningful.

Season 7 introduces seven cities that RKK has never visited before:

Blitar, Banjar, Tarakan, Kendari, Bengkulu, Ternate, and Sidoarjo.

These are not the “default” cities for large-scale events.
And that is precisely where RKK’s strength lies.

RKK does not only go where the crowd already exists.
It goes where the community is still waiting to be seen.
